Our first truly independent release

This EP marked our “comeback”, though we hadn’t really gone anywhere.

Same Old Song
I see your picture in the paper
You talk ‘bout honesty and truth
And it can only make me wonder
If someone still believes in you
The only truth that’s there
Is what you’re telling with your eyes
It seems your eyes they don’t remember
That you believe your own lies
It’s the same old song
Bring it on or shut your mouth
It’s been too long
It’s the same old song
You really seem so pleased to meet you
You crafted such a charming face
But your emptiness betrays you
You fool no one except yourself
The only truth that’s there
Is what you’re telling with your eyes
It seems your eyes they don’t remember
That you believe your own lies
It’s the same old song
Bring it on or shut your mouth
It’s been too long
It’s the same old song
Bring it on or shut your mouth
It’s been too long
You can’t touch me
I’m free from your lies
You can’t touch me
I’m free from your lies
It’s the same old song
Bring it on or shut your mouth
It’s been too long
It’s the same old song
Beneath The Gate
I’m beneath the gate
I can feel the sunny day
There’s a joyful girl
Dancing in my head
I’m beneath the gate
It was late last night
When I finally got to sleep
I could feel the thrill of a beginning
It was late last night
Early morning for a love
That had just been born
From the shadows
From the darkness and the doubts
I’m beneath the gate
I can feel the sunny day
There’s a joyful girl
Dancing in my head
I’m beneath the gate
Was it meant to be
Or was it just plain luck
What drew her to me in the beginning?
It was meant to be
I did not believe in love
And she proved me wrong
And she showed me
And she taught me how to love
I’m beneath the gate
I can feel the sunny day
There’s a joyful girl
Dancing in my head
I’m beneath the gate
I’m beneath the gate
Ooh, ooh
There’s a joyful girl
Dancing in my head
I’m beneath the gate
On The Run
Seems like New Year’s Eve was yesterday
But Spring has just begun
And I can still feel last Summer’s sun
I think I must be twenty
Soon I’ll be past thirty-one
It feels like days are on the run
On the run, on the run
I heard about it, read about it,
Really thought I knew
When I was younger, days were never done
Those endless, boring strings of days
Got shorter every year
My mornings fly, my nights are on the run
On the run, on the run
Now there’s a scammer on my wrist
And there’s another on my wall
They tick and tock and lie to everyone
I hope that they could keep it still
I know they never will
Their hours are seconds, years are on the run
On the run, on the run
